Having a year's experience under their belts, the Queens Pioneers hope to improve on their close but not quite fourth place finish of 2007 to achieve a post-season birth in 2008. With their two most active top players, GM Stripunsky and IM Vovsha both returning along with the addition of IMs Schneider and Lenderman to the main roster, the Pioneers will likely have a much wider variety of top lineups to throw at their opposition. When combined with the abundance of young talent they have featuring former World U16 Champion IM Lenderman, the dangerous NM Zhao who scored some key upsets last year, and National Elementary Champion Ostrovskiy, the Pioneers have the potential to achieve any challenge put before them.
