Week 7 Predictions

As this week's Monday slate is even heavier than the Wednesday slate, it seemed going into depth for every Monday match might be overkill so I'll just make my predictions closer to the style I use for Wednesday, hopefully with a bit more detail.

Boston vs New York: Well Charbonneau may not have the aura of totally owning Boston anymore, but he's still close enough, and Herman got the better of both 2006 encounters against Krasik. Plus, though the Knights' ability to stage a complete comeback to make the postseason may be slim, the chance to put a big dent in their arch-rival's run should prove motivation enough. New York 2.5 – 1.5

Queens vs New Jersey: These two teams are the two most dominating in the League with the White pieces this season, and I see that being exemplified this week. White sweeps this match, and you know what that totals to. Queens ties New Jersey 2 – 2

Tennessee vs Chicago: Chicago swept the Tempo during their first meeting, and both teams' lineups from that blowout are very similar this week to that encounter. Same result, just a bit closer. Chicago 3 – 1

San Francisco vs Seattle: Another very high class match-up between these two teams. Shankland is very, very fortunate to be facing Readey this week rather than his master, Mark Ginsburg. As such, his victory should carry the day. San Francisco 2.5 – 1.5

Baltimore vs Carolina: The exact lineup which lead to a 3 – 1 victory for the Kingfishers in Week 3. I have a feeling Zaikov will perform better on this occasion, but it still won't be quite enough for his team. Baltimore 2.5 – 1.5

Dallas vs Philadelphia: Seeing IMs play on Board Four is a fairly novel concept in the league, one which only Chicago had previously ventured into. Nevertheless, the Blaze performed better than expected both times they tried it so why not Philadelphia too? Plus, Philadelphia is reversing every result they had last season, and they lost to Dallas last year. Philadelphia 2.5 – 1.5

Arizona vs Miami: Pretty close all around, but one of Miami's two biggest performers, Becerra and Rodriguez, will break through for the Sharks as they've done on several previous occasions. Miami 2.5 – 1.5

(FM Ron Young predicts New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and San Francisco all to win 2.5 – 1.5 on Monday).
