Los Angeles Vibe join the USCL

The USCL is pleased to announce that the expansion team the Los Angeles Vibe will be joining the League in 2010, taking the place of the Tennessee Tempo in the Western Division.

The Vibe will be managed by IM Armen Ambartsoumian and have also confirmed that GM Melikset Khachiyan, IM Andranik Matikozyan, FM Joel Banawa, FM Alexandre Kretchetov, and WFM Tatev Abrahamyan will be members of the team. The team's logo will be displayed shortly.

The League looks forward to at long last having a team in the Southern California area and hopes that it will be a very competitive addition to the USCL from the start.

Congratulations to the Vibe, and good luck this year in the USCL.

And, thanks for the great name -- I spent the last hour on a long car ride dreaming up all the puns for next year... hee hee hee...

It seems that this brief announcement is missing an explanation as to why the Tempo are no longer a team in the league. Perhaps someone from the Tempo can clarify?

Good luck to LA.
